Job summary

Indiana Connections Academy in Indiana is seeking an Elementary Teacher to oversee virtual instruction from a home-based office, serving K-5 learners. You will support the instructional program through asynchronous web conferences and synchronous sessions, ensuring students stay on track.

Responsibilities include grading, progress reports, parent conferences, and collaboration with learning coaches to update Personal Learning Plans.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Elementary grades in Indiana (appropriate to grade level responsibilities).

• Strong technology skills (Microsoft OS, MS Office, Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Complete all grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
• Communicate with parents, students and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans, score assessments and coach projects.
• Develop a general knowledge of the curriculum.
• Support students and parents with alternate strategies and daily assignments and projects.
• Communicate with parents, students, and curriculum specialists via computer and telephone.
• Keep student records and data up-to-date, including files and attendance.
• Consult with team members to develop enrichment activities and modifications to student programs.
• Manage regional field trips and integrate trips into the curriculum.
• Create and maintain a virtual school community.
• Collaborate with team and learning community.
• Participate in State Testing organization and administration.
• Participate in student recruiting and other marketing efforts.
• Review curriculum and devise alternate lesson approaches with parents and students.
• Attend field trips and community activities for families.
