Job summary

Arkansas Connections Academy seeks an Elementary Teacher to remotely manage instructional programs with students and learning coaches. The role may be performed from Bentonville, AR or a home office within the state, leveraging phone, Internet and curriculum tools to ensure each child successfully completes the program.

You will grade, report progress, run conferences, and adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs, while collaborating with other teachers to support a strong school community

Qualifications

• Must reside within the state of Arkansas or live within 300 miles of Bentonville, AR.
• Highly qualified and certified to teach Elementary in Arkansas (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities).
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft OS, MS Office programs, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Grade completion, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
• Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding.
• Communicate with parents, students and other teachers regularly to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Coordinate field trips and social activities to enrich the curriculum and school community.
• Attend field trips and community activities and support state testing and recruitment events.
