Job summary

ManTech is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. This remote position within Virginia requires occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk for client meetings. The role involves managing technical aspects of shipboard engineering related to electrical power and systems.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and over 5 years of specialized vessel experience. Required skills include knowledge of marine power plants and proficiency in power analysis software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with specialized vessels or relevant marine systems.
• Experience with propulsion control and electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical load and fault current analyses.
• Develop contract and in-house designs and conduct testing.
• Conduct surveys and inspections on marine vessels.
• Perform electrical calculations and schematics including voltage drop.
• Develop Electrical Plant Load Analysis and coordination studies.
• Collaborate to create FMEA and PSTP procedures.
