MANTECH in Virginia Beach, VA seeks an Engineering Technician to join our onsite team. You will lead design, fabrication, installation, and testing of prototype electronic systems for watercraft, with verification signoff and direct collaboration with engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of shipboard installation experience, U.S. citizenship, and a current Secret clearance. You will document results and assist in continuous process improvements on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience with shipboard installations; additional 6+ years may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with shipboard installations and electrical/electronic systems is required.
• U.S. citizenship and a current/active Secret clearance are required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support design, fabrication, installation, and test of prototypes to validate electronic capabilities.
• Conduct tests from bench-level to full system evaluations on designated watercraft with verification signoff.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and test solutions for technical problems.
• Prepare technical reports, manuals, and Navy documents.
• Work with minimal supervision at government/contractor facilities with project guidance.
• Perform component-level verification tests and field validations across watercraft and equipment.
• Analyze operations and suggest continuous process improvements.
