Job summary

CannonDesign seeks a skilled electrical engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will design lighting, power distribution, signaling, and telecom systems for educational, healthcare, and commercial clients, and develop construction documents with a focus on quality and coordination.

Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited engineering degree, 6+ years of related experience, and familiarity with Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools. Remote-US work is possible with some onsite visits.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• EIT/FE preferred; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teamwork planning and may lead efforts.
• Perform electrical engineering system design for building projects.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, and telecom systems per codes.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications; review shop drawings.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and progress.
• Interface with Architectural/Engineering teams and clients as needed.
