Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work under a licensed engineer to design lighting, power distribution, signaling, and telecom systems for healthcare, education, and commercial projects.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master in Engineering (ABET preferred) with a minimum of 6 years of related experience. EIT/FE and LEED accreditation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• EIT/FE preferred; LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teamwork planning sessions and may take a lead role.
• Conduct electrical engineering design for building construction, including lighting, power, signaling, and communications.
• Prepare construction documents with drawings and specifications; guide junior team members.
• Perform design reviews and quality control of engineering documents and layouts.
• Respond to RFIs and review change orders; assist in site visits and construction meetings.
