Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will design lighting, power distribution, signaling, and telecom systems for educational, healthcare, sports, corporate, and science projects under the guidance of a licensed engineer.

The role requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree and 6+ years of related experience; EIT/FE and LEED preferred. Proficiency in Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools. Remote work within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
• EIT/FE preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project teamwork planning and may lead.
• Assume project engineering responsibilities and monitor financial/work goals.
• Initiate project designs and develop design goals and systems; perform electrical engineering design for building construction.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications and/or telecommunication systems per codes.
• Prepare construction documents including drawings and specifications; guide junior team members and specify equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks of engineering documents and layouts.
• Participate in value engineering with Architectural/Engineering team.
• Review and mark up shop drawings; respond to RFIs and change orders.
