Applied Engineering in the United States is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer, Power Distribution to design and develop low and medium voltage power distribution equipment from concept through manufacturing and testing.

You will research components, interpret ratings, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver compliant, high-performing solutions for switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, generators, and energy storage systems.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, product design, or power distribution equipment design.
• Experience with low voltage and/or medium voltage AC electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical components including circuit breakers, contactors, cable, terminal blocks, relays.

Responsabilidades

• Design and support low voltage and medium voltage power distribution products from concept through manufacturing, testing, and implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components based on requirements and standards.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, documentation, and deliverables for manufacturing, testing, and certification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective power distribution solutions.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
