Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is looking for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support its construction and engineering teams. The successful candidate will create and maintain 3D models of electrical designs, integrate multidisciplinary data, and perform clash detection to ensure project constructability. Remote work options are available, along with opportunities to work from the Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office. Proficiency in BIM software and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software is required for effective modeling.
• Sound understanding of construction methods and building codes is necessary.
• Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models is essential.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts between building components.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to analyze and interpret design information

Attention to detail

Ability to create/modify basic Revit families

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
