Job summary

Leidos is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers in the Eastern, PA region who are passionate about electric utility design engineering. You will work with clients to ensure high-quality deliverables, develop work packages, and manage scopes in a dynamic environment.

This role involves field and office work, potential travel within Pennsylvania, and opportunities to gain expertise in NESC, structural modeling, and GIS design standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) is required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and related systems.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Perform planning and customer follow-up tasks, ensuring client priorities are met.
• Coordinate with utilities to develop large design packages for complex projects.
• Be comfortable with field and office work, including local or regional customer-site visits.
