Job summary

Leidos is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers in the Eastern PA region who design and deliver high-quality electric utility projects. You will work with GIS and WMS systems like ArcGIS, Smallworld, and Maximo, coordinating with clients and managing work packages from planning through execution.

The role involves travel to local customer sites, field data collection, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure project success and adherence to NESC standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred; other experience may be considered.
• Experience and proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Prior experience with structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, and electric demand and fault currents calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and WMS systems such as EFD, AUD, Smallworld, ArcGIS, Infor, EAM, STORMS, and Maximo.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Perform functional tasks, planning, and customer follow-up.
• Maintain schedule adherence and advocate client priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement to workflow processes for high-quality client design deliverables.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and large design packages in dense urban environments, including work permits and ROW applications.
• Be comfortable in field and office settings with local/regional travel.
