Job summary

CollegeSpring is seeking a Contract Proofreader to support the final stages of our ACT-aligned curriculum build. This role will review and proofread ELA instructional materials to ensure content is clear, grammatically sound, and aligned with the ACT assessment.

This 1099 remote contract requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines on short timelines, and experience with Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, and Monday.com.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong editorial eye.
• Able to track grammar, formatting, accuracy, and alignment.
• Familiar with test design and secondary-level instructional content (ELA focus).
• Tech-savvy with Google Slides, Sheets, Docs and Monday.com.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines on short timelines.

Responsibilities

• QA/Proofreading: review ACT-aligned materials for clarity and grammar.
• Participate in project kick-off calls and weekly check-ins with curriculum team.
• Proofread lessons in Google Slides to ensure accuracy and pedagogical flow.
• Proofread content in Google Docs using a structured template.
• Flag inconsistencies between slides, objectives, and ACT requirements.
