PLOS is seeking a senior editorial leader to manage a portfolio including PLOS Biology and PLOS Medicine. You will line-manage Editors-in-Chief, shape editorial strategy, budgets, and metrics, and drive open science adoption. Fully remote role with a home office stipend, and strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

You will partner with marketing, operations, and global development to build a cohesive, globally engaged editorial community across biology, health, and environmental health.

Qualifications

• PhD and post-doctoral experience plus 5+ years of editorial leadership in STM publishing.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Fully remote work environment with home office stipend.

Responsabilités

• Develop and oversee editorial strategy, budgets, and performance metrics for the journal portfolio.
• Lead a cohesive team of editorial staff, fostering cross-portfolio and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Partner with marketing, operations, and global development teams to drive engagement and open science uptake.
