Job summary

1872 Consulting seeks an experienced Product Manager to lead discovery and shopping experiences for a major U.S. retailer's eCommerce platform. You will own the roadmap for browse, search, navigation, and PDP, partnering with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to improve how customers find and buy products.

This hands-on ownership role requires building and optimizing eCommerce experiences, with remote work across the U.S. and travel to supported locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Product Management experience.
• Strong background in retail or eCommerce.
• Direct ownership of browse, search, navigation, PDP capabilities.
• Experience with search optimization, taxonomy, merchandising, and personalization.
• Experience improving conversion through analytics and experimentation.
• Proven ability to own roadmaps, define requirements, and make product decisions.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Adobe Analytics, Asana, or similar tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for browse, search, navigation, and PDP experiences
• Improve search relevance, filtering, sorting, taxonomy, and product merchandising
• Optimize PDP content, product variants, pricing displays, availability, reviews, and recommendations
• Lead product discovery, requirements gathering, and backlog prioritization
• Partner with engineering and UX to deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions
• Leverage analytics, customer insights, and A/B testing to improve engagement and conversion
• Lead UAT, release readiness, and stakeholder enablement
• Track product performance and communicate measurable business outcomes
