Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead E-commerce Social Media Strategist to spearhead our social media presence. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa with a distributed marketing team.

You will own the social vision, drive engagement and optimize campaigns for online sales. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in social media marketing for e-commerce, strong content creation and analytics skills, and experience with influencer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of social media marketing experience in e-commerce.
• Proven track record delivering measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with e-commerce objectives.
• Manage all channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, X) including planning, creation, scheduling and publishing.
• Create high-quality content, including graphics, videos and copy tailored to each platform.
• Monitor trends, conversations and competitors to identify opportunities and risks.
• Grow online communities, respond to comments, and engage followers.
• Develop and manage social ads to drive traffic and conversions.
• Analyze performance metrics, report KPIs and provide optimization insights.
• Collaborate with influencers and brand partners to expand reach.
