LanguageLine Solutions LLC is hiring a Work at Home bilingual Duala-English Phone Interpreter. This independent contractor role lets you work from your home in the United States, handling on-demand calls between Duala and English speakers.

You will receive industry-leading training, opportunities for advancement, and support from veteran specialists while delivering high-quality interpretation across healthcare, government, finance and more.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Duala and English with cultural awareness.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences to communicate with LEP.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation and polite expressions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the interpreting sessions at all times.
• Remain calm during interpreting sessions in emergency or high-volume calls.
