Job summary

Fidus is seeking a DSP Designer to develop high-speed signal processing algorithms and bring them from concept to hardware realization. You will quantify bit-width and precision, validate with simulations, and work closely with FPGA/HDL teams to produce feasible architectures.

The role spans communications, radar, life sciences, and industrial applications. Ideal candidates hold BS/MS/PhD in EE and have deep experience in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and fixed-point design.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD required in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in signals and systems, Fourier/Z-transform, digital filter design.
• Experience with fixed-point models and HDL/FPGA collaboration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and simulate DSP algorithms (equalization, filtering, estimation) in MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python.
• Perform quantization/bit-width analysis for HDL implementation.
• Collaborate with FPGA/HDL and hardware teams to translate algorithms into efficient hardware architectures.
• Support HDL verification through golden-model test vectors and co-simulation.
• Document design decisions and validation results for clients and internal use.
