Job summary

Catholic Relief Services is seeking a Technical Advisor I – Disaster Risk Reduction and Anticipatory Action (DRR/AA) to support integration of DRR/AA across RAPID interventions. You will provide technical guidance to ensure programs meet CRS standards, donor requirements, and industry best practices, strengthening effectiveness for vulnerable populations.

The role includes proposal design support, capacity-building activities, data analysis, and collaboration with partners and donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in DRR/AA related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressively responsible work experience, ideally with an international NGO.
• Experience with program design, proposal development, and donor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to agency-wide DRR/AA strategies, standards, tools, and best practices across humanitarian response.
• Provide technical solutions to regional and County Program teams for program design, M&E, and donor alignment.
• Support proposal development and act as a technical writer when needed.
• Develop learning strategies, conduct trainings, and coach staff and partners.
• Collect and analyze program data, share lessons learned to improve decision-making.
• Maintain donor/partner relationships and engage in DRR/AA forums.
