Job summary

Catholic Relief Services seeks an Emergency Operations Technical Advisor I to provide deployable technical and operational support for humanitarian responses, emphasizing supply chain management, procurement, and logistics, with readiness for rapid country deployment.

The role collaborates across departments to strengthen field operations, establish relief delivery systems, and ensure compliance with donor requirements, SPHERE standards, and CRS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field experience in humanitarian operations.
• Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to lead diverse teams.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic preferred as a secondary language.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid deployment in country operational surge support for procurement, logistics, supply chain processes, and sub-office setup.
• Support emergency operations planning and closeout with CRS standards and donor requirements.
• Assist with setup and functioning of relief delivery systems and operational processes in active emergencies.
• Provide cross-functional support across HR, finance, security, GKIM, administration and fleet management.
• Support capacity strengthening and accompaniment for CRS staff and partners during emergencies, including trainings and briefings.
