Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a DRG Associate Auditor (Analyst) to validate coding updates that affect DRGs and potential reimbursement. You'll review cases, document evidence-based recommendations, and pre-screen opportunities for the DRG Validation Auditing Team.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years ICD-10 coding and DRG experience, RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials, and proficiency with Epic, Cerner or Meditech, Excel and Teams. This is a remote US-based role.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of ICD-10 coding and DRG reimbursement experience, including acute inpatient coding.
• Current AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS).
• Experience with multiple EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Validate DRG-impacting coding updates and potential reimbursements.
• Provide rationale and evidence for recommendations.
• Audit rules and pre-screen opportunities for the DRG Validation Auditing Team.
