Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Temporary Outbound Customer Care Specialist for a fully remote role. You will make outbound calls to thank donors, welcome volunteers, and support events, while learning fundraising insights and organization resources.

Work Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm CT; equipment is provided for a productive home-office setup, including laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset. Compensation is $17.50 per hour with a robust benefits overview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of minimum relevant work experience.
• At least six months of customer interaction experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask across several software programs and the Internet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; typing accuracy.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday 8:30–5:00pm CT.

Responsibilities

• Make routine outbound calls to thank donors, welcome volunteers, and assist with events.
• Establish ongoing support relationships and educate volunteers on fundraising.
• Respond to inquiries by directing to materials or referring to more senior staff.
• Follow up on previous calls.
• Use multiple software programs to track contacts and interactions.
