Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks a Temporary Outbound Customer Care Specialist to thank donors, welcome volunteers, and assist with events. This fully remote role includes a home-office setup (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset) and a Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm CT schedule.

You will couple outreach with support education, engaging volunteers and donors across fundraising activities, with access to Heart U and other training resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years minimum relevant work experience; preferred: six months in customer interaction.
• Able to multitask across several software programs and the Internet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong typing accuracy.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:00pm CT.

Responsibilities

• Make routine outbound calls to thank donors, welcome volunteers, and assist with events.
• Establish an ongoing support relationship and educate volunteers on fundraising aspects.
• Respond to inquiries by referring to published materials or more senior staff.
• Follow up on previous calls.
• Use multiple software programs to track contact information and interactions.
