Job summary

Step Up For Students is seeking a Senior Manager, Donor Data & Operations to advance donor data strategy, governance, and automation for stronger fundraising outcomes. You will partner with fundraising leadership, IT, and vendors to build scalable systems and actionable insights.

The role requires deep expertise in relational databases, SQL, Python, and CRM platforms, with a focus on data integrity, security, and donor engagement. Remote work options apply.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a complex relational database and supervising a data team.
• 5–7 years in relational data management with advanced SQL, fundraising, and donor relations.
• Expertise in Python for data scripting and automation.
• CRM platforms experience: Blackbaud RENXT, Omatic, CharityEngine, Bloomerang, HubSpot, Mailchimp.
• Knowledge of PCI compliance and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage the donor data team, data reporting and processes to provide excellent and timely service to donors and internal teams.
• Oversee donor database design, development, support, maintenance, security backups and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with policies and industry standards for donor relations.
• Develop and manage the donor data/operations budget.
• Oversee ETL processes for continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.
• Provide data automation, SQL queries, reporting tools and predictive modeling using Python and CI/CD.
• Coordinate with IT on technical, hardware, software, website and server administration.
• Collaborate with fundraising leadership on campaigns and performance tracking.
