Job summary

Matco Tools, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vontier Corporation, seeks a District Manager to lead an autonomous multi-unit territory, translating corporate strategy into territory execution, and owning P&L responsibilities.

You will develop territory performance, coach leaders, coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Distributor Partners, travel within territory up to 5 hours daily, and manage monthly Distributor Reviews to drive profit and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of multi-unit operational leadership required, with a proven track record of driving results across multiple locations, territories, or accounts.
• Sales leadership, field/route sales, or experience with an automotive tool franchise is a plus
• High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is desirable for advancement
• Demonstrated capability in coaching, financial acumen, personal accountability, influencing without authority, planning & activation, and consultative problem solving
• Basic MS Office knowledge required; intermediate proficiency strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead territory financial development like a business owner, treating the territory as an autonomous P&L with full strategic accountability
• Be an expert on market trends, Distributor performance trends, and KPI results
• Translate data from multiple sources into transformative insights
• Apply advanced root cause analysis tools to identify what must be addressed, often absent clear precedent
• Go beyond obvious solutions to originate and prioritize novel approaches with the greatest business impact
• Transform Distributor focus through results-oriented Distributor Business Reviews focused on delivering next-level profit and growth
