Job summary

Matco Tools, a Matco Tools distributor under Vontier, seeks an experienced District Manager to own and drive performance across 15+ distributor businesses. You will translate strategy into territory execution, partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Distributor Support, and own territory outcomes with autonomy.

You will lead financial development, analyze market and KPI trends, and transform data into actionable insights while applying root-cause analysis to prioritize high-impact actions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of multi-unit operational leadership.
• Proven track record of driving results across multiple locations/territories.
• High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is desirable for advancement.
• Demonstrated capability in coaching, financial acumen, personal accountability, influencing without authority, planning & activation, and consultative problem solving.
• Basic MS Office knowledge; intermediate proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead territory financial development like a business owner, treating the territory as an autonomous P&L with full strategic accountability.
• Be an expert on market trends, Distributor performance trends, and KPI results.
• Translate data from multiple sources into transformative insights.
• Apply advanced root cause analysis tools to identify what must be addressed, often absent clear precedent.
• Go beyond obvious solutions to originate and prioritize novel approaches with the greatest business impact.
