Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. seeks a Distribution Business Manager to drive profitable sales growth by expanding distribution channel relationships. The role develops and executes growth strategies, identifies new business opportunities, and leverages product, market, and customer insights to increase revenue and market share within assigned accounts and territories.

This position will be remote with travel expectations of 50% or more. Expected compensation is $120,000-160,000 per year plus commission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in key account or distribution account sales management.
• Experience in water treatment chemical industry preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Leadership teams.
• Ability to identify key contacts within accounts to further selling cycle.
• Demonstrated ability to align customer needs with company capabilities to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing distribution accounts to achieve sales, margin, and profitability objectives.
• Grow profitability of distribution accounts with margin management, additional products, and increased volumes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within distributor organizations.
• Identify, develop, and secure new distribution accounts.
• Provide regular market intelligence and business insights to leadership regarding competitor activity and trends.
• Complete monthly reports and market summaries for distribution accounts.
• Work with Operations and Sourcing to ensure timely distribution of products.
• Utilize CRM to enhance internal information sharing.
