Job summary

Leidos in New Jersey seeks Distribution Engineers & Designers to join our Power Delivery Services Team. You will develop design and construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution networks, and work directly with clients to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with NESC principles. Travel within New Jersey may be required, with remote-working capabilities and both field and office assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with execution of distribution projects from kickoff through design approved.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems.
• Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations including pole loading, guying, conductor sag/tension, voltage drop and flicker.
