Job summary

Leidos is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers in Michigan to design electrical utility systems, coordinate with clients, and deliver high-quality work. Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred.
• Experience with design engineering for electric distribution in utilities.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Experience with structural analysis and coordination of protective devices.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects using GIS and Maximo.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Review engineering design packages with clients.
• Coordinate field data collection and office work.
• Initiate process improvements for efficiency and quality.
