Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Distribution Engineer to design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV. You will develop URD, re-conductoring, and asset replacement projects, and ensure designs comply with client standards.

The role involves coordinating small design teams, providing engineering support during construction, and engaging in project planning and customer meetings. Remote-friendly with strong technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution will count towards years of experience.
• Technical training, certifications, or coursework related to utility design, telecommunications, GIS, CAD, or electric utility infrastructure.
• 2+ years of utility, telecom, joint use, or make-ready design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit work packages.
• Design complex overhead and underground distribution projects meeting client specs, perform design calculations, and coordinate with project teams.
