Job summary

Tetra Tech is expanding its Disaster Recovery Cadre by adding experienced Cost Estimators across the United States. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects for FEMA Public Assistance and related programs.

This on-call, as-needed role may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid deployments depending on client needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional cost estimating or related experience.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, scope development, and field inspections.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Perform site inspections and assess damages to inform repairs and construction needs.
• Develop and validate project scopes, quantities, and unit costs.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff to define eligible work.
