Job summary

Parmele Disability Advocates, a leading disability law firm, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Hearings Department. You will support clients through the Social Security Disability process by preparing for hearings, advocating before administrative law judges, and drafting appeals as needed.

Qualifications

• Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or the ability to obtain one within one month of hire.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Exceptional organization and time management abilities.
• Capacity to manage a high caseload with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in Social Security Disability law or appellate work is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy
• Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings
• Draft administrative appeals for the Appeals Council
• Evaluate prospective clients to assess their eligibility for representation
• Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firm's case management system
