Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead software teams, modernize legacy applications, and deliver quality results. This role provides overall leadership for the software development group, guiding Agile practices and collaboration across product owners, architecture, and PMO to achieve on-time, within-budget outcomes.

The Director will mentor managers, establish KPIs, and stay current with AI-enabled development strategies to drive high-quality software

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field of study, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.
Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
Experience with cloud first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
Experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to make development organizations more efficient and accurate in their delivery.
Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.
Experience with projects requiring the development of advanced automation testing frameworks and various performance testing methodologies.
Experience managing measurable success in delivering quality software that meets the business needs using agile methodologies.

Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and the Navitus Enterprise Project Management Office.
Build strong relationships with the application business owners to deliver software that meets our internal and external customers’ needs.
Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development.
Develop and maintain an accountable department that delivers high-quality code.
Stay current with modern software development technology, including Artificial Intelligence, to establish and evolve the software development strategy.
Establish and deliver KPI’s and metrics for managing and reporting performance.
Communicate the progress and status of all development teams to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
