Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Software Development to lead our software development efforts and transform legacy systems into modern, maintainable applications.

This role requires strong leadership, Agile proficiency, and collaboration with Product Owners and Enterprise Architecture to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has 10+ years IT management experience and cloud/microservices expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Experience with cloud-first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
• Experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to make development organizations more efficient and accurate in their delivery.
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
• Foster a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and the Navitus Enterprise Project Management Office.
• Build strong relationships with the application business owners to deliver software that meets our internal and external customers’ needs.
• Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development.
• Develop and maintain an accountable department that delivers high-quality code.
• Stay current with modern software development technology, including Artificial Intelligence, to establish and evolve the software development strategy.
• Establish and deliver KPI's and metrics for managing and reporting performance.
• Communicate the progress and status of all development teams to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
