Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions seeks a Director of Software Development to steer the software teams as legacy systems are modernized into scalable, reliable applications. You will provide strategic leadership, promote collaboration with product teams, and drive Agile practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will mentor leaders, champion high-quality code, and align development with enterprise goals while exploring AI-enabled approaches and KPI-driven management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years IT Management experience including direct leadership of software development teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Cloud-first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
• Experience using AI tools to improve delivery and efficiency.
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps and other tools.
• Experience managing agile methodologies.
• Experience with advanced automation testing frameworks and performance testing methodologies.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software meeting business needs using agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Execute with accountability and deliver results for the team.
• Lead and mentor managers responsible for software development.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and PMO.
• Build strong relationships with application owners to meet customer needs.
• Maintain an accountable department delivering high-quality code.
• Stay current with modern software development tech, including AI, to guide strategy.
• Establish KPIs and report performance to stakeholders.
• Communicate progress to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Other duties as assigned.
