Job summary

CyrusOne seeks a Director of Site Acquisition & Location Strategy to lead multiple land development opportunities from market evaluation to acquisition, coordinating internal teams and external consultants. You will assess site suitability, infrastructure constraints, and regulatory requirements while guiding financial analyses and executive presentations.

The role requires strong project management, cross-functional leadership, and experience in data center or large-scale development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Geography, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in site selection, land acquisition, real estate development, or related field.
• Experience managing complex site acquisition or development projects from evaluation through approval and execution.
• Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, entitlement, land use planning, environmental due diligence, and infrastructure development processes.
• Experience evaluating commercial, technical, and financial considerations for development opportunities.
• Ability to present recommendations, risks, and project updates to senior leadership.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent site acquisition and development opportunities through to approval and transition.
• Coordinate site selection, due diligence, and feasibility to identify risks and requirements.
• Manage budgets, consultants, vendors, and change orders.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and business cases.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to drive execution.
