Job summary

Bicycle Health is a telemedicine provider delivering MOUD and behavioral health services to patients with opioid use disorder. We seek a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead our billing and collections engine as we scale, partnering with the CFO and cross-functional leaders.

The role is remote in the United States, full-time (40hrs/week), with a target pay range of $150,000-$175,000 plus equity. Strong RCM leadership and compliance background are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in healthcare revenue cycle management
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Certified billing or coding certification required
• Experience with Athena EHR billing system preferred
• Telemedicine billing and coding for SUD/OUD/G Codes
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the Athena EHR billing system.
• Oversee offshore RCM vendor for timely billing, collections, and month-end close.
• Identify and mitigate potential risk and compliance issues.
• Educate teams on billing guidelines, telehealth regulations, and behavioral health practices.
• Partner with Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Direct daily operations for billing, financial coordination, and counseling teams.
• Train and mentor team members on RCM best practices.
• Own end-to-end revenue cycle transformation projects including VBC/FFS coverage.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure GAAP revenue recognition.
• Automate claims billing processes and resolve system issues.
• Define and report on core revenue cycle KPIs to leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to plan and execute payor launches.
• Lead project management for new payment structures.
