Job summary

Providence is seeking a Director Billing and Collections to lead remote operations across our revenue cycle. You will oversee billing follow-up, denial management, and reimbursement recovery for insurance and self-pay accounts, ensuring compliance and strong financial performance.

You will partner with clinics, finance, contracting, coding, and vendors to optimize workflows, improve collections, and enhance the patient and provider experience while aligning with Providence’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in accounts receivable management.
• 8 years of leadership experience.
• 5 years of experience in medical revenue cycle management.
• 3 years of significant executive-level relationship management experience.
• Demonstrated experience standardizing complex and disparate processes and maintaining common processes to standards across multiple facilities and settings.
• Healthcare business operations and/or financial management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of billing follow-up, denial management, reporting and reimbursement recovery, including patient accounting, third-party payer billing, and EDI billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing and follow-up activities for Providence retained offices.
• Manage AR across insurance and self-pay accounts.
• Ensure billing compliance and optimize revenue cycle workflows.
• Partner with clinics, finance, contracting, coding, and vendor partners to improve collections and enhance the patient and provider experience.
