Aspire General Insurance Company seeks a seasoned Director of Recoveries – Subrogation and Salvage to lead strategy, operations, and performance of recovery functions. This executive role requires deep automobile claims expertise, California recovery knowledge, and proven leadership in subrogation and salvage.

The position emphasizes strategic oversight, process optimization, vendor management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on maximizing recoveries and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, insurance, risk management or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible claims operations experience.
• Proven leadership in Subrogation and/or Salvage functions.
• California claims and recovery experience with subrogation expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of California subrogation and salvage laws and regulations.
• Extensive automobile claims experience including PD, LI investigations, negotiations, subrogation, salvage.
• Track record of recovering strategies, procedures, workflows and best practices.
• Experience managing performance, workforce development and strategic initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Lead Recovery Strategy and Operations for Subrogation and Salvage functions.
• Develop and improve recovery strategies, processes, workflows and best practices.
• Direct recovery activities to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
• Evaluate complex recovery opportunities for feasibility and cost‑effectiveness.
• Set recovery authority guidelines and approve settlements within delegated limits.
• Provide guidance on complex recovery matters and handling recommendations.
• Develop strategies to maximize recoveries aligned with financial objectives.
• Monitor metrics, KPIs, and performance results for improvement.
• Partner with Claims IT and stakeholders to implement system improvements.
• Oversee external recovery vendors and ensure performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Build and develop high‑performing Subrogation and Salvage teams.
