Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Director of Specialty Operations to lead the launch of an ultra-orphan specialty product, overseeing distribution, hub services, dispensing, reimbursement, and patient support.

You will partner with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, Data & Analytics, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory to integrate pharmacy operations into the broader product launch and ensure compliant, patient-centric delivery across sites of care.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 5-7 years in specialty model development/operations, preferably with launched product and direct reports.
• Proven cross-functional team leadership, incl. Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, and Patient Services.
• Deep knowledge of specialty operating models, reimbursement, distribution, HUB services, and site-of-care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of operations strategies for a new specialty product launch.
• Oversee day-to-day specialty distribution, hub services, dispensing, and patient support programs.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; provide leadership with regular performance insights.
• Governance across vendors and institutional stakeholders to ensure aligned execution.
