Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Director of Specialty Operations to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a new ultra‑orphan specialty product.

You will oversee specialty distribution, hub services, and patient support programs, aligning with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, and cross‑functional teams. The role requires 5–7 years in specialty model development/operations, strong governance across vendors, and deep knowledge of reimbursement and site‑of‑care delivery models.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of operational strategies for the launch of a new specialty product including distribution, hub capabilities and pharmacy services.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the specialty distribution network ensuring compliance and quality.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks that may impact launch timelines or product performance.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to track launch success, patient outcomes and service delivery.
