Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Director of Specialty Operations to lead the launch of a highly integrated ultra-orphan specialty product.

You will collaborate across Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, Data & Analytics, Sales, Patient Access, and Medical Affairs to align pharmacy operations with the broader launch strategy. The role emphasizes governance across specialty pharmacy, distribution, HUB services, and provider reimbursement, ensuring patient continuity and scalable care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or PharmD required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in specialty model development/operations, preferably with product launch and direct reports.
• Proven cross-functional leadership experience with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, product management, and patient services.
• Deep knowledge of specialty operating models, medical benefit reimbursement, HUB services, buy-and-bill economics, and site-of-care models.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of operational strategies for the launch of a new specialty product, including distribution, hub capabilities, and pharmacy services.
• Develop a comprehensive specialty operations strategy covering distribution, dispensing, patient support, reimbursement, and logistics.
• Serve as primary point of contact for specialty model considerations during launch; guide internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the specialty distribution network ensuring compliance and quality service.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to track launch success, patient outcomes, and service delivery; report to senior leadership.
• Lead and develop a team to support the product launch and long-term objectives.
