Job summary

Telecare, based in Alameda, CA, seeks a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead the entire revenue cycle and supervise Billing Managers. The role requires partnering with senior leaders to optimize productivity and revenue while driving strategic initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will manage multiple priorities, ensure compliance with payer regulations, and support organizational planning and decision making. Remote work from California is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or healthcare or equivalent experience, plus accounting coursework
• Eight years of billing and collection experience with five years of management in a billing environment for a large physician practice, hospital, or medical background
• Five years of staff management experience with coaching, performance improvement and disciplinary actions
• Detailed knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance billing and collections, preferably in a psychiatric hospital or skilled medical facility environment
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and supervise a Revenue Cycle Management team
• Superior knowledge and experience in full revenue cycle from admission to collections
• Experience with analyzing payer contracts with complex reimbursement structures
• Thorough understanding of medical billing, collections, write-offs, payment posting, audits and payer regulations
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and process improvement
• Ability to gather and analyze key information and determine course of action

Responsibilities

• Lead Revenue Cycle team and supervise Billing Managers across regions
• Drive performance improvement and revenue enhancement opportunities
• Develop revenue cycle workflows, KPIs, SLAs, and policies
• Provide strategy, decision support and operational leadership to optimize productivity and revenue
