Job summary

Already Autism Health is seeking a Director of Authorizations and Eligibility to lead payer authorization activities across the organization in a remote capacity. The role focuses on obtaining timely authorizations for ABA services, reducing denials, and optimizing reimbursement with cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience, familiarity with ABA services, and a track record of process improvements and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of healthcare CentralReach or revenue cycle experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing authorization or revenue cycle teams.
• Experience with ABA, behavioral health, pediatric therapy, or diagnostic services strongly preferred.
• Experience leading process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Authorizations Department including initial authorizations, reauthorizations, concurrent reviews, appeals, and maintenance.
• Establish goals, productivity standards, and performance metrics for the team.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate authorization staff.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Intake, Scheduling, Billing, Credentialing, and RCM teams.
• Develop escalation processes for urgent authorization needs and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
• Monitor denial trends and implement corrective action plans to reduce denials and write-offs.
• Partner with IT and operational teams on automation initiatives and SOPs.
• Provide regular KPI reporting to executives and drive process improvements.
