Job summary

Advatix is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead the mechanical discipline within its Architecture and Engineering unit. The role entails oversight of operations, project and program management, business development, and client relationships.

The position can be performed remotely or from any North American office. The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 15+ years in A/E/C mechanical engineering, and 8+ years of supervisory experience, with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering project and/or program management experience in an A/E/C environment.
• Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting commercial programs, especially multi-site retail/restaurant environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering consulting process across projects, programs, and personnel.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Drive business development and marketing initiatives for growth of the practice.
• Oversee project and program schedules, timelines, and resource planning.
• Mentor and develop staff and oversee performance against KPIs.
