Job summary

Acclinate Inc. is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead our engineering function and scale AVA, Acclinate's community intelligence platform, into an enterprise-grade product.

You will report to our Head of Product & Marketing and lead and grow a small engineering team while shipping code yourself. You will own architecture, data pipelines, security, and compliance, and collaborate with product, customer success, and commercial teams to align engineering output with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience
• 5+ years in AI-native engineering teams
• 3–5 years if exceptional speed and delivery
• Experience leading engineers directly and reporting to product/commercial leadership
• Data pipelines, AI tooling, and cloud infrastructure experience (GCP preferred)

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and full-stack systems for data, analytics, and AI features
• Maintain and modernize core stack (GCP, Rails, CI/CD) and evaluate new frontend/backend stacks
• Own integrations across data and business systems (Metabase, HubSpot, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and production readiness with strong test and deployment practices
• Mentor engineers, onboard new hires, and improve AI-driven workflows and tooling
