Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director of AI Engineering to lead the enterprise AI platform and agent ecosystem. You will own the AI platform, enabling scalable, secure AI-powered solutions across the company, including reusable agent templates, multi-agent orchestration, and a self-service RAG builder for non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in AI/ML or software engineering with 4+ years building production-grade agentic AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain the enterprise agent platform and publishing system.
• Engineer multi-agent coordination patterns for collaboration on complex workflows.
• Design reusable agent templates and memory systems for non-engineers.
• Lead self-service RAG builder including pipelines, embedding, vector store, and low-code interface.
• Oversee enterprise tool and skill registry with secure discovery and access controls.
• Establish and manage the AI prompt management system with governance and versions.
