Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals seeks a Director, AI Engineering to shape and advance our enterprise AI platform. You will own the agent ecosystem, drive scalable, secure AI-powered solutions, and partner with IT, Cybersecurity, EA, and business leads to deliver measurable business value while accelerating AI adoption.

You will lead the design of reusable templates, memory systems, and tool registries, enabling business users to build and deploy AI solutions with minimal coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, ML, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in AI/ML/software engineering with 4+ years building production-grade agentic AI systems.
• Experience delivering self-service or platform tooling for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain enterprise agent platform and publication workflows.
• Engineer multi-agent coordination patterns for varied roles and data access.
• Design reusable agent templates and memory systems for low-code deployment.
• Build HITL escalation workflows and defined agent action boundaries.
• Lead self-service RAG builder with low-code interface and integration.
