Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation seeks a Director, Project Engineering to lead complex energy construction, marine infrastructure, and dry dock projects. You will govern engineering specifications, manage document control, and drive feasibility studies with cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate with shipyards, vendors, and engineering partners to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and asset reliability across the project lifecycle. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Marine/Naval Architecture or Construction Management is required.
• PE license preferred where civil/structural responsibilities apply.
• 8+ years in project/industrial/energy infrastructure engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering activities for energy construction, marine infrastructure, and dry dock projects.
• Maintain specifications and governance practices for engineering documents.
• Establish and manage document control for drawings, specs, and design packages.
• Coordinate with internal teams, shipyards, vendors, and contractors.
• Develop feasibility studies, cost estimates, and constructability assessments.
• Review technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Coordinate with asset reliability, operations, safety, and procurement teams.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and constructability challenges; propose mitigations.
• Support bid packages, contractor clarifications, and change management.
• Ensure safe construction execution and regulatory compliance throughout projects.
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional contributors.
