Jobgether is assisting in recruiting a Director of Business Development-Drayage for a partner company in the United States. The role focuses on drayage, transloading, and trucking services, targeting freight forwarders, BCOs, and shippers in the Los Angeles area.

The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth, expand partnerships, and increase market share across key port and intermodal gateways. A robust network and a proven sales track record are essential, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in drayage, transloading, freight forwarding, or related logistics field.
• Strong commercial judgment with proven sales targets.
• Established network in Los Angeles logistics.
• Knowledge of Asia-based trade lanes preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, negotiate, and close new business with freight forwarders, BCOs, shippers, and intermediaries in LA and Southern California.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships within the freight forwarding community and SMEs.
• Leverage industry ties to expand market share and strengthen competitive position.
• Develop and execute sales initiatives aligned with business objectives to exceed targets.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure service commitments and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
• Maintain visibility into pipeline, market trends, and competitive intelligence for leadership.
