The Emmes Company, LLC is actively seeking a Director of Business Development (US - East Coast) for remote work. This role targets senior-level engagement with pharmaceutical, biotech, government, and academic clients to drive revenue growth through CRO services and AI-enabled software solutions.

The candidate should demonstrate a strong track record in consultative, solution-based selling, with deep life sciences industry knowledge and a strategic mindset for long-term client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of BD/commercial leadership in CRO/biotech or related field.
• Experience selling CRO services, clinical technology platforms, SaaS solutions, or AI-enabled health tech.

Responsibilities

• Drive net-new business growth by securing new customers and expanding existing accounts.
• Meet or exceed annual sales, bookings, and revenue targets.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting and strategic account management.
• Develop territory plans and pursuit strategies aligned with growth objectives.
• Position and sell integrated CRO services and software offerings, including AI-enabled analytics and digital trial solutions.
• Lead executive meetings, capability presentations, and bid defense discussions.
• Maintain disciplined CRM practices and accurate forecasting.
